EHOOSH operates as a separate entity from the school. We are a not-for-profit incorporated association overseen by a volunteer Parent Management Committee This is a very cost-effective model of management for OOSH services. While the Nominated Supervisor of the Service ensures the effective management of its day-to-day functioning, the Committee oversees the operation of the Service.
Without a Parent Management Committee the Service is unable to operate as a not-for-profit organisation. To ensure that OOSH continues to run in this way, please consider joining the Committee. Assistance from parents using OOSH is always needed and highly valued. Committee meetings are open to any parent or guardian who uses OOSH. Meeting dates and times are published in the school newsletter, via email and our new Facebook Page. Committee members are elected at the Annual General Meeting.
Many volunteers find their role on the OOSH committee very enjoyable. Being able to shape where the service is heading on a strategic level and knowing they are keeping costs down for families by enabling all funds to go back into running and improving the service is highly rewarding.
